Ordering

Orders are placed though the website, Facebook, message or over the phone. Booking in advance is preferred to ensure availability, last minutes orders maybe accommodated if date is available. Wedding cakes required at least a 4-6 weeks notice to ensure design is catered for along with your more elaborate cakes to allow for delivery on items.

Consultations

Very relaxrelaxed face to face wedding consultations can be arranged and are held at my home address. A choice of 3 flavours can be provided for tasting. After your enquiry/consultations I will send you a quote including all details provided, once price is agreed a deposit will need to be paid to secure date and delivery if required.

Deposits

I ask for a 50% deposit, or I do after payment instalments on all orders to secure your cake order and chosen date. Remaining balance is required before or on collection. Wedding cakes payments need to be paid in full 28 days prior to your wedding.

Your date is reserved and your order confirmed only when the deposit is received by I Love Those Cakes by Cakelicious. Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer or PayPal.

Collection and Delivery

All cakes can be collected with an arranged titime prior to collection. Once the cake has left the premises it becomes the sole responsibility of the customer and I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the cake.

Wedding set up

Should set up be required I will deliver as agreed and it is the customer's responsibility to provide set up details and that the venue has been informed of the delivery. Please ensure arrangements are made for the cake table, table linen, cake stand and knife set (if not hire from us) are set prior to our arrival. We will make sure your cake is presention the best possible way for the stability or levelness

of the table on which the cake is displayed. Please ensure that the cake table is level, stable and strong enough. (Wedding cakes with several tiers can be very heavy!)

A photograph will be taken to verity set up and sent. Once the cake has bbbeen delivered and set up, cakes from I Love Those Cakes by Cakelicious accepts no liability for any damage that may incur.

Cake Storage and Shelf Life

All cakes should be stored in a cool dark place on a flat sturdy surface in the box provided. Once cut foil or cling film can be placed on the cut edge of the cake to stop it drying out.

It is not advisable to put your cakes in the fridge as the icing will sweat and colours may run.

All sponge cakes are made fresh to order and will keep for approximately 5 days if kept in the box provided in a cool place.

Fruitcakes will keep well for months again not in the fridge but in a box in a cool place.

Cancellations

If for any reason you wish to cancel your order, I need one months notice for wedding cakes and one week notice for any other cakes. All cancellations must be in writing via email.

All deposits are non-refundable. However, if you need to change the date or move your event please contact me and I will attempt to make new arrangements where availability allows. I understand that things can come up that are completely out of your control.

Changes

Wedding cakes: The date of your final payment is the final date for any chnges of size, style or flavours of the cake. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.

Celebration cakes and other: Changes can be made up to one week of completion date. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.

Ingredients and Allergens

Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings.

I am happy to supply cakes for customers with special dietary needs. I make every effort to ensure ingredients for such products are stored separately, and since every cake is made to order, 'free from' ingredients will not be used at the same time as other ingredients. However, products containing gluten, dairy or nuts and other allergy sensitive ingredients are used within my kitchen therefore I can never completely guarantee that products will remain 100% free from ingredients that may affect particularly sensitive diets.

It is the customer's responsibility to inform me of any dietary requirements. I hold no responsibility for any injury or illness resulting from allergies and sensitive to ingredients.

If you require a list of ingredients please ask when placing your order. It is the customer's responsibility to pass the Allergens information onto any third parties concerned.

Decorations and Extras

If fresh flowers are provided by an outside source, you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt or other contaminants.

Cakes/decorations may also contain wires, dowels and other non-edible products. It is you or your caterer's responsibility to ensure that these non-edible products are removed before serving the cake to yorself or your guests.

Disclaimer

If you are unhappy with your cake, for any reason, please call me on the day of your event and explain the situation. In the rare case that you are unhappy with your cake and would like a refund, you must call of the day of event so your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to refund any portion of your payment.
